How to play

• Spin the wheel — it stops on one of the six categories.
• A question from it appears, and the answer shows only when asked for.
• The host gives a point from the scoreboard if the answer is right.
• The next player spins again; questions do not repeat until the set runs out.

With your own questions

The ready questions are a start. Build your own game gives three fields per question: the question itself, the answer if you want it on screen, and a category. The category decides what the wheel carries.

• With no categories — the wheel carries the questions themselves. A spin picks a question, it comes up at once and then leaves the wheel, so it cannot come up twice. When they run out, a new round starts.
• With categories — tick “I will use categories too” and a category field appears next to every question. The wheel then carries the categories: a spin picks one, and the question is drawn from it. Every question needs a category.
• Every game starts from “+ Add a game” and from its name. From then on the questions are saved as you go, and the game comes back from the Game list above. Up to six games — one per class, say.
• Your questions stay in the browser and come back on the next visit — there is nothing to retype.

What the odds are

• The ready questions: six categories, each with 1 ÷ 6 = 16.7% on a single spin.
• A category written twice takes two sectors and comes up twice as often.
• Inside a category the question is drawn from the unused ones, so the same one never comes twice in a row.

How it works

• Pick a game above: Questions from spinolada.com or one of yours. A new one starts with + Add a game and a name.
• Press the button in the middle of the wheel for one spin.
• The sector that comes up shows the question. The answer appears only after Show the answer — and only if one was entered.
• In the Scoreboard enter the players’ names, then count with + and −. Points never go below zero.
• The bin removes a player or a question.
• The game keeps no list of what came up — here you count points, and the question that was asked leaves the wheel by itself.

Every sector has an equal chance, and the questions and points stay in the browser — nothing is sent to a server.
